The Regency of Cianjur has the
population of 2.000.000 and the population growth rate of 1.48 %.It is
located strategically between the two prominent city areas Bandung and
Jakarta. The total area of the Regency is 350.148 hectares. Administratively,

Cianjur Regency borders the Regency of Sukabumi in the west,the Regencies of
Bandung Barat and Garut in the east,and the Regencies of Bogor and
Purwakarta in the north. The southern ports of Cianjur Regency are faced with
the indian ocean.

Remote areas within 160 km distance from Cianjur downtown
Cianjur region has a typically
tropical climate with annual precipitation is between 1000 and 4000 mm and
the rainy days numbered at 126,833 HH per year. Thanks to such a climate,
the natural condition of Cianjur region has enable its inhabitants to
benefit from the good soil and the diversity of natural bounty, both of
which are asset for sustainable development and are potential for attracting
good investment to the region. Besides, there are lots of rivers and stream
from which forming may have a steady supply of water.
Total area the regency of Cianjur is 350.148 Hectares, which used for
83.034 hectares (23,71%) and the rest consists of 58.101 wet-farmland
(16.59%). 97.227 hectare dry farmland and field (27,76%). Land used for
estate and gardening accounts for estate and gardening accounts for 57,735
hectares (16,19%). 3.500 hectares (0.10%) as grazing land 1.239 hectares
(0.035%) of land for residence and premises, and the land used for other
purposes accounts for 22,483 hectares (6.42%).
